DTC Information: DTC Detecting Condition

Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
DTC Strategy
  • Monitor the sensor signal
  • Poor connector connection
  • Faulty oil temperature sensor
  • Faulty PCM
Enable Condition Low temperature (case 1)
  • Battery voltage is higher than 10V
  • Engine speed is higher than 900RPM
  • Lever position in "D" or "Sports" (Forward gear)
  • Oil temperature is higher than -10°C (14°F)
  • Time out higher than 150s
  • Secondary pulley speed is higher than 300RPM
High temperature (case 2)
  • Battery voltage is higher than 10V
  • Engine Speed is higher than 350RPM
  • Oil temperature at previous Ignition "OFF" is higher than 90°C (194°F)
  • Engine coolant temperature at previous Ignition "OFF" is higher than 90°C (194°F)
  • Difference between temperature at ignition "ON" and temperature at previous ignition "OFF" is higher than 34°C (93.2°F)
  • No CAN error
Threshold Value Low temperature (case 1)
  • Oil temperature sensor is lower than 2°C (35.6°F)
High temperature (case 2)
  • Difference between temperature at ignition "ON" and temperature at previous ignition "OFF" is less than 2°C (35.6°F)
Detecting Time
  • First event
MIL ON Condition
  • 2 driving cycles
