Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
DTC Strategy
  • Monitoring the deviation of short term fuel trim
  • Poor connector connection
  • Air leakage or restriction in Intake or exhaust system
  • Dirty engine oil or oil level too high
  • Faulty PCV
  • Faulty injector
  • Faulty fuel system
  • Faulty EVAP system
  • Faulty sensor signals
Enable Conditions
  • Engine coolant temperature higher than 60°C (140°F)
  • Fuel trim active
  • Barometric pressure (BARO) model is higher than 75kPa
Threshold Value
  • Short term trim is less than -30% or equal to -30%
Diagnostic Time
  • 90s
MIL ON Condition
  • 2 driving cycles
