Thermostat Check: Notes

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
  1. After immersing the thermostat in water, heat the water slowly.
  2. Check the temperature at which the valve opens.

    Specification: 

    Valve open temperature: 90 ± 1.5°C (194 ±34.7°F)

    Valve opening temperature: 100°C (212°F)

  3. Check the amount of valve opening.

    Specification:  8mm or more (100°C/212°F)

Good 

  1. Carefully re-do this troubleshooting guide steps.
  2. If no problems were found, replace the Thermostat and go to "Vehicle S/W Management " procedure.

No Good 

  1. Repair or replace as necessary and then, go to "Verification of Repair " procedure.
