DTC P0507-00: Idle Air Control System-RPM Higher Than Expected: General Description
WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
The idle speed is controlled by the Electrical Throttle Control (ETC) system. ETC system is composed of the throttle motor to operate the throttle valve and the throttle position sensor to detect the opening angle of the throttle valve, the accelerator pedal position sensor (APS) to detect the accelerator pedal position and the one valve type throttle body. The PCM controls the throttle motor to provide the proper throttle valve opening angle for the target idle speed.
