Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
DTC Strategy
  • Signal monitoring
  • Poor connector connection
  • Faulty fuel sender
Enable Condition
  • Cumulated fuel consumption more than 5.28gal (20L) (30% of tank capacity)
  • Battery voltage higher than 11V and lower than 16V
  • No relevant DTC present
Threshold Value
  • Filtered fuel tank level signal change after 30% of tank capacity fuel consumption lower than 5%
Diagnostic Time
  • 0.1s
MIL ON Condition
  • 2 driving cycles
