DTC Information: DTC Detecting Condition

Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
DTC Strategy
  • Check motor position sensor signal
  • Faulty motor position sensor
  • Poor connection of connector
  • Open or short in the power harness
Enable Conditions
  • Ignition "ON"
Threshold Value
  • Abnormal motor position sensor signal
Detecting Time
  • 24ms
Warning Lamp
  • Warning lamp "ON"
Symptom
  • Feeling of steering wheel becomes heavy
Fail Safe
  • MDPS warning lamp "ON", MDPS control is inhibited
Service Lamp "ON" Condition
  • 1 Driving cycle (Start "ON" and Ignition "OFF" 1 time)
Service Lamp "OFF" Condition
  • Next Ignition cycle
Disable Condition
  • Next Ignition cycle
