DTC Information: DTC Detecting Condition

Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
DTC Strategy
  • Check ECU hardware
  • Poor connector connection
  • Open or short in CAN line
  • Faulty ECM/PCM
Enable Conditions
  • Ignition "ON"
Threshold Value
  • Arithmetic function error
  • Interrupted communication with ASIC
  • Motor control circuit (FET) open or short
  • ROM/RAM data error
Warning Lamp
  • Warning lamp "ON"
Symptom
  • Feeling of steering wheel becomes heavy
Fail Safe
  • No assist of steering wheel
Service Lamp "ON" Condition
  • 1 Driving cycle (Start "ON" and Ignition "OFF" 1 time)
Service Lamp "OFF" Condition
  • Next Ignition cycle
Disable Condition
  • Next Ignition cycle
