Circuit Inspection

Inspection Condition (+) Probe (-) Probe Specification
Connector Terminal Connector Terminal
  1. Ignition "OFF".
  2. Disconnect the electrical connector(s) from the concerned component.
  3. Ignition "ON".
 Rain sensor connector 1 (battery (+)) Chassis ground - B+
  1. Ignition "OFF".
  2. Disconnect the electrical connector(s) from the concerned component.
 Rain sensor connector 3 (ground) Chassis ground - Approx. below 1Ω
  1. Ignition "ON".
 Rain sensor connector 2 (LIN) Chassis ground - Fig. 1

Good 

  1. Fault might be intermittent and caused either by poor contact in connectors or wiring harness, or it has been repaired and control module memory is not cleared yet. Thoroughly check terminal of battery, all connectors (and connections) for looseness, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage.
  2. Repair or replace as necessary and then go to "Verification of Repair " procedure.

No Good 

  1. Carefully re-do this troubleshooting guide steps.
  2. If problem still occurs, replace Rain Sensor and then go to "Verification of Repair " procedure.
