Good
- Remove each unit or module connector that constitutes the M-CAN communication network, and check if the DTC is cleared.
- If a steady value is measured when the connector is removed, check the grounding short of the respective component and communication line.
- Repair or replace as necessary and then go to "Verification of Repair " procedure.
No Good
- If the voltage of the measured waveform is at the approx. 12V, check for short circuit to battery.
- If the voltage of the measured waveform is at the approx. 0V, check for short circuit to ground.
- Check the circuit open or connector disconnection.
- Check for a short circuit between the wiring and the chassis ground.
- Perform repair or replacement as necessary and perform the "Verification of Repair " procedure.
