Repair Procedures: Removal

NOTE: If replacement of the rear corner radar unit bracket or extension wire is required, replace the defective part only with a new one.

Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.
Remove the rear bumper assembly.
(Refer to Body - "REAR BUMPER ASSEMBLY ")
Disconnect the connector (A) from the rear corner radar unit.

Remove the rear corner radar unit (A) by loosening the nuts.

Tightening torque:

8.8 - 13.7 N.m (0.9 - 1.4 kgf.m, 6.5 - 10.1 lb.ft)

NOTE: Be careful not to damage the bracket when removing the rear corner radar unit.

NOTE: In the following cases, replace the extension wire or bracket.

If the bracket is physically deformed or damaged.

Remove the bracket (A) from the rear corner radar unit by loosening the nuts.

If the connector or wire is damaged.

Disconnect the connectors (A) and then remove the extension wire after separating the mounting clip.
