DTC P1677: Immobilizer-EMS VIN Data Error (EMS Has Different VIN): General Description

Immobilizer (IMMO): A security device that permits vehicle to start only when the password code of key (transponder)/IMMO/EMS matches with each other to prevent vehicle theft.
EMS: Learnt, IMMO ECU: Occurs when the "VIN Code" is different when authenticating communication between "IMMO ECU" and "EMS" in "Learnt" state. However, the "IMMO ECU" is not judged in the "User Lock" state, and in this state, the startup is not possible and some of the diagnostic menus do not operate.
