Thermostat Check

After immersing the thermostat in water, heat the water slowly.
Check the temperature at which the valve opens.
Specification:

Valve open temperature: 90 ± 1.5°C (194 ±34.7°F)

Valve opening temperature: 100°C (212°F)
Check the amount of valve opening.
Specification: 8mm or more (100°C/212°F)

Good
- Carefully re-do this troubleshooting guide steps.
- Fault might be intermittent and caused either by poor contact in connectors or wiring connector, or it has been repaired and control module memory is not cleared yet. Thoroughly check terminal of battery, all connectors (and connections) for looseness, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, and/or damage.
No Good
- Replace or repair the Thermostat as necessary and go to "Verification of Repair " procedure.
