- Disconnect the battery negative terminal.
- Loosen the alternator mounting bolts (A) and then turn the adjusting bolt (B) counterclockwise to loose the drive belt tension.
Tightening torque
M8 bolt:
19.6 - 26.5 N.m (2.0 - 2.7 kgf.m, 14.5 - 19.5 Ib.ft)
M10 bolt:
29.4 - 41.2 N.m (3.0 - 4.2 kgf.m, 21.7 - 30.4 Ib.ft)
- Remove the drive belt (A).
- Install in the reverse order of removal.
