Removal And Installation

  1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
  2. Remove the crash pad lower panel.

    (Refer to Body (Interior and Exterior) - "CRASH PAD LOWER PANEL ")

  3. Disconnect the brake switch connector (A).

  4. Disconnect the snap pin (A) and clevis pin (B).

    NOTE:
    • Before installing the pin, apply the grease to the joint pin.
    • Use a new snap pin whenever installing.
  5. Remove the brake pedal mounting nuts (A).

    Tightening torque: 

    16.7 - 25.5 N.m (1.7 - 2.6 kgf.m, 12.3 - 18.8 lb.ft)

  6. Remove the brake pedal assembly (A).

  7. Install in the reverse order of removal
