DTC Information: DTC Detecting Condition

Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
DTC Strategy
  • CAN message monitoring
  • Poor connector connection
  • Open in C-CAN line between ESC and MDPS unit
  • Faulty MDPS unit
Enable Condition
  • Ignition "ON"
  • No network bus off condition
Threshold Value
  • MDPS CAN message is not received for more than specific time continuously
  • Specific time: control in progress = 500ms
  • Specific time: no control in progress = 1500ms
Disable Condition
  • Ignition "OFF" and then "ON"
