DTC Information: DTC Detecting Condition

Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
DTC Strategy
  • CAN message monitoring
  • Poor connector connection
  • Short to power or ground in C-CAN high line
  • Short to power or ground in C-CAN low line
  • Short circuit between CAN high and low line
  • Faulty control modules that connected to C-CAN
Enable Condition
  • Ignition "ON"
  • No related DTC is stored
Threshold Value
  • Once C-CAN bus off state occurs, CAN communication is initialized and has recovery time for 70ms
  • A failure is detected if the CAN bus off state occurs more than 10 times continuously
Disable Condition
  • Ignition "OFF" and then "ON"
Warning Lamp
  • ESC/DBC/AVH/EPB warning lamp "ON"
