DTC Information: DTC Detecting Condition

Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
DTC Strategy
  • Secondary fuel trim, too rich
  • Poor connector connection
  • Air leak in exhaust system
  • Faulty three-way catalytic converter
Enable Conditions
  • Secondary trim adaptation enabled
  • Remark: secondary trim adaptation conditions
  • Modeled catalyst temperature is between 350 and 900°C (572 and 1652°F)
  • ECT is greater than 50°C (122°F)
  • Required lambda is same as 1
  • Exhaust gas mass flow is between 15 and 150kg/h (33 and 330lb/h)
  • Accumulated exhausts gas mass is greater than 120g (0.26lb)
Threshold Value
  • Secondary control variable by downstream O2 sensor is less than -0.05
  • Secondary control variable difference between current variable and variable at start is less than -0.01
Diagnostic Time
  • 20s

  • 2 driving cycles
