DTC Information: DTC Detecting Condition

Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
DTC Strategy Case 1
  • Return spring check
  • Throttle stuck
  • Open in motor circuit
  • Faulty motor
  • Faulty ECM

  • Abnormal value of TPS re-adaptation
Case 3
  • TPS first adaptation failed due to violated input conditions
Case 4
  • TPS adaptation fault or abnormal value during the first initialization
Case 5
  • Limp-home check
Enable Conditions Case 1
  • During TPS adaptation
Case 2
  • During TPS adaptation (throttle is made to approach the lower much throttle limit stop via ramp)
  • Learned value already saved
  • ETC control duty is greater than 60%
  • Delta limp home adaptation (difference between last adaptation and current adaptation) is greater than 1%
  • ETC replaced
  • ECU reset
  • ETC control duty is greater than 60%

  • First initialization
Case 4
  • During TPS adaptation
  • Ignition "ON"
Case 5
  • Ignition "ON"
Threshold Value Case 1
  • Difference between throttle position and limp home position is greater than 3%
Case 2
  • Voltage throttle position 1 at the lower limit stop is less than 0.31V
  • Voltage throttle position 2 at the lower limit stop is greater than 4.69V
  • Volt sum throttle position 1 and 2 is greater than 5V
  • Voltage throttle position 1 at the lower limit stop + offset is greater than 0.69V
  • Voltage throttle position 2 at the lower limit stop - offset is less than 4.3V (offset = 0V)
Case 3
  • Engine speed is greater than 250 RPM
  • Vehicle speed is greater than 0km/h (0 MPH)
  • Acceleration pedal is greater than 15%
  • ECT is greater than 100°C (212°F) or ECT is less than 5.3°C (41.54°F)
  • IAT is lower than 5.3°C (41.54°F)
  • Voltage is less than 10V
Case 4
  • Learning stop due to violated input condition and UMA learning error
Case 5
  • Limp-home position is greater than 19.5% or limp home position is less than 1.0%
