DTC Information: DTC Detecting Condition

Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
DTC Strategy
  • Target error check (intake)
  • CVVT assembly (intake)
  • Engine oil contamination
  • Oil leakage
  • OCV - In (Bank 1)
Enable Conditions
  • (A) Absolute value of difference between target VVT angle and VVT angle is greater than 10 degree
  • (B) Engine running time, start at ECT 70°C (158°F) is greater than 10s or start at ECT 0°C (32°F) is greater than 60s
  • (C) EOT (calculated from ECT) is between 5 and 135°C (41 and 275°F)
  • (D) Engine speed is between 1000 and 5000 RPM
  • Time after the conditions A+B+C+D is greater than 2s
Threshold Value
  • Absolute value of difference between VVT angle and target angle is greater than 3 degree during 1s
  • If maximum variation VVT angle during monitoring cycle is less than 3 degree
Diagnostic Time
  • Continuously (2s x 5 times)
MIL ON Condition
  • 2 driving cycles
