DTC Information: DTC Detecting Condition

Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
DTC Strategy
  • Check ECT, IAT correlation
  • Monitor at cold condition
  • Poor connector connection
  • ECTS
Enable Conditions
  • Soaking time engine stop at ECT 0°C (32°F) is greater than 5h.
  • Soaking time engine stop at ECT 90°C (194°F) is greater than 6h
  • Block heater is not detected
  • Difference between ECT and ECT at start is less than 2.25°C (36.05° F)
  • ECT is less than 50.25°C (122.45°F)
  • Time after engine start is less than 30s
Threshold Value
  • Absolute value of difference between reference temp and ECT is greater than 20°C (68°F)

    * Reference temp: 2 of 3 signals are selected and averaged, and the other signal which has the biggest deviation is excluded
Diagnostic Time
  • 100ms (once per driving cycle)
MIL ON Condition
  • 2 driving cycles
