Squib Circuit Inspection

NOTE: If dummy and dummy adaptor are not able to be prepared, use a 2Ω resistor.
WARNING: Place removed passenger airbag active vent facing upward for unexpected airbag deployment.
  1. Ignition "OFF".
  2. Disconnect the battery (-) cable and wait for 1 minute or more.
  3. Remove the passenger airbag active vent and install the dummy and dummy adapter to the passenger airbag active vent connector.
  4. Connect the battery (-) cable and ignition "ON" and wait for 30s or more.
  5. Connect KDS to "Data Link Connector (DLC)" and clear DTC with KDS and diagnose again.
  6. Are any DTCs stored in the system?

    Good 

    No Good 

    • Carefully re-do this troubleshooting guide steps.
    • If problem still occurs, replace passenger airbag active vent and then go to "Verification of Repair " procedure.
