Inspection Procedure

  1. Check fuses and relays.
  2. Check battery terminals and charge status.
  3. Check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage.

    Good 

    1. Go to "Circuit Inspection " procedure.

    No Good 

    1. Repair as necessary and then go to "Verification of Repair " procedure.

Inspection Condition (+) Probe (-) Probe Specification
Connector Terminal Connector Terminal
  1. Ignition "OFF".
  2. Disconnect the electrical connector(s) from the concerned component.
  3. Ignition "ON".
Passenger temperature actuator connector 5 (power) Chassis ground - 5V
  1. Ignition "OFF".
  2. Disconnect battery (-) cable.
  3. Disconnect the electrical connector(s) from the concerned component.
Passenger temperature actuator connector 7 (ground) Chassis ground - Approx. below 1Ω
  1. Ignition "OFF".
  2. Disconnect the electrical connector(s) from the concerned component and A/C control module.
Passenger temperature actuator connector 6 (feedback) A/C control module (auto) connector 1 (feedback) Approx. below 1Ω
Passenger temperature actuator connector 6 (feedback) Chassis ground - ∞ (infinity)Ω

Good 

  1. Go to "Component Inspection " procedure.

No Good 

  1. Repair open or short in circuit and then go to "Verification of Repair " procedure.
