DTC Information: DTC Detecting Condition

Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
DTC Strategy
  • CKP signal implausible (e.g. tooth counter wrong per 1 revolution of crankshaft, no reference mark, too long time between two teeth, etc.)
  • Poor connector connection
  • Short in signal circuit
  • CKPS
  • Damaged crankshaft pulse wheel teeth
  • CKPS circuit noise
Enable Conditions
  • CMPS error (P034100/P036600/P034000/P036500)
  • Vehicle speed is between 1 and 25.75km/h (0.6 and 16mph)
  • Engine speed is less than 400RPM
  • No error on vehicle speed
  • No disabling faults present (CMPS error)
  • No engine reverse rotation
Threshold Value
  • Counter of implausible CKP signal pre crankshsaft revolution (counter step: 4) is greater than 60 times
Diagnostic Time
  • Continuously
MIL ON Condition
  • 2 driving cycles
