Removal And Installation

  1. Disconnect the battery negative terminal.
  2. Remove the engine room under cover.

    (Refer to Engine and Transaxle Assembly - "ENGINE ROOM UNDER COVER ")

  3. Drain the engine coolant.

    (Refer to Cooling System - "COOLANT ")

  4. Remove the air cleaner assembly.

    (Refer to Intake and Exhaust System - "AIR CLEANER ")

  5. Remove the cooling fan.

    (Refer to Cooling System - "COOLING FAN ")

  6. Remove the radiator upper hose (A).

  7. Remove the radiator lower hose (A).

  8. Remove the front bumper assembly.

    (Refer to Body - "FRONT BUMPER ASSEMBLY ")

  9. Remove the head lamps.

    (Refer to Body Electrical System - "HEAD LAMPS ")

  10. Remove the front bumper upper mounting bracket (A) after loosening the mounting bolts.

  11. Remove the air upper guard assembly (A) after loosening the mounting bolts.

    Tightening torque: 

    7.8 - 11.8 N.m (0.8 - 1.2 kgf.m, 5.8 - 8.7 lb.ft)

  12. Remove the side air guard (A) after loosening the mounting bolts.

    Tightening torque: 

    7.8 - 11.8 N.m (0.8 - 1.2 kgf.m, 5.8 - 8.7 lb.ft)

  13. Remove the radiator upper mounting bracket (A).

    Tightening torque: 

    7.8 - 11.8 N.m (0.8 - 1.2 kgf.m, 5.8 - 8.7 lb.ft)

  14. Loosen the intercooler (A) mounting bolts.

    Tightening torque: 

    6.9 - 10.8 N.m (0.7 - 1.1 kgf.m, 5.1 - 8.0 lb.ft)

  15. Separate the intercooler (A) from the radiator.

  16. Separate the condenser (A) from the radiator.

  17. Remove the radiator (A) from the condenser.

  18. Install in the reverse order of removal.
  19. Fill the radiator with coolant.

    (Refer to Cooling System - "COOLANT ")

  20. Start engine and check for leaks.
