DTC B1213-00: Front Right Sensor Fault: General Description

The Parking Distance Warning (PDW) system is an electronic driving aid that warns driver of surrounding obstacles when they are parking.

PDW consists of 8 (front: 4, rear: 4) sensors which uses ultrasonic waves to detect obstacles and sends signal via LIN communication to IBU-BCM.

The IBU-BCM receives signals from PDW sensors and operate buzzer and/or transmits data to instrument cluster for display.
