Monitor KDS status
- Connect KDS to Data Link Connector (DLC).
- Ignition "ON".
- Monitor "Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC)" with KDS.
- Is DTC status displayed as Present?
YES
- If no problems were found with the circuits or connectors, replace EPB ECU and go to "VERIFICATION OF REPAIR " procedure.
NO
- Fault is intermittent caused by poor contact in the EPB ECU's connector or was repaired and EPB ECU memory was not cleared. Thoroughly check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage. Repair or replace as necessary and then go to "VERIFICATION OF REPAIR " procedure.
