Main Harness Circuit Inspection

  1. Ignition switch "OFF".
  2. Disconnect battery (-) cable and wait at least for one minute.
  3. Refer to "SIDE IMPACT SENSOR (SIS) " and disconnect Side Impact Sensor (SIS) Rear-Driver connector.
  4. Connect battery (-) cable.
  5. Ignition switch "ON"
  6. Measure the voltage between Pin No. 2 (High) terminal of Side Impact Sensor (SIS) Rear-Driver harness connector and chassis ground.
  7. Measure the voltage between Pin No. 1 (Low) terminal of Side Impact Sensor (SIS) Rear-Driver harness connector and chassis ground.

    Specification:  Refer to figure below

  8. Is the measured value within specification?

    YES 

    NO 

    • Carefully re-do this troubleshooting guide steps.
    • If problem still occurs, replace SRSCM main harness and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
