Monitor KDS Data

  1. Ignition switch "OFF"
  2. Connect KDS to Data Link Connector (DLC).
  3. Ignition switch "ON"
  4. Monitor the "Passenger SAB resistance" parameter in "Current Data" with KDS.

    Specification:  1.0Ω< Resistance of Side airbag front-Passenger< 7.2Ω

    Reference:  In a case of an open in the Side airbag front-Passenger circuit: FAIL

    In a case of a short to battery in the Side airbag front-Passenger circuit: FAIL

    In a case of a short to ground in the Side airbag front-Passenger circuit: FAIL

  5. Is the parameter displayed within specification?

    YES 

    • Fault is intermittent caused by poor contact in the part's and/or SRSCM connector or was repaired and SRSCM memory was not cleared. Thoroughly check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage.
