Component Inspection: Notes

Ignition "OFF"
Connect KDS to Data Link Connector (DLC).
Ignition "ON"
Perform "Engage Odd Gear (1st Gear)" in "Actuation Test" with KDS.
Monitor "Shift Motor 1 Position (Odd Gear Shaft)" in "Current Data" with KDS.
Specification: Refer to Figure below

Perform "Lug Alignment" in "Actuation Test" with KDS.

Is displayed parameter within specification?
YES
- Fault might be intermittent and caused either by poor contact in connectors or wiring harness, or it has been repaired and control module memory is not cleared yet. Thoroughly check terminal of battery, all connectors (and connections) for looseness, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, and/or damage.
- Repair or replace as necessary and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
NO
- Carefully re-do this troubleshooting guide steps.
- If problem still occurs, repair or replace Gear Shift assembly and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure. (Perform "DCT Learning" in "Vehicle S/W Management" with KDS.)
- Replace "DCT" and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure. (Perform "DCT Manual Input Function (Transmission Exchange)" in "Vehicle S/W Management" with KDS.)
