Inspection Condition	Inspection Procedure	Reference
Ignition "ON". No DTC. Shift lever "P".	Ignition "OFF". Connect KDS to Data Link Connector (DLC). Ignition "ON". Perform "Engage Odd Gear (1st Gear)" in "Actuation Test" with KDS. Monitor "Shift Motor 1 Position (Odd Gear Shaft)" in "Current Data" with KDS.	Fig.1

Good

Fault might be intermittent and caused either by poor contact in connectors or wiring harness, or it has been repaired and control module memory is not cleared yet. Thoroughly check terminal of battery, all connectors (and connections) for looseness, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, and/or damage.
Repair or replace as necessary and then go to "VERIFICATION OF REPAIR " procedure.

No Good

Carefully re-do this troubleshooting guide steps.
If problem still occurs, repair or replace smart gear actuator assembly and then go to "VERIFICATION OF REPAIR " procedure. (Perform "DCT Learning" in "Vehicle S/W Management" with KDS.)
