Circuit Inspection

  1. Select actuator connector: Disconnected
  2. Ignition: ON
Select solenoid 1 Pull terminal Chassis ground
Control circuit (Open/Short): Voltage Approx. 3.7V
  1. Select actuator connector: Disconnected
  2. Ignition: ON
Select solenoid 1 Push terminal Chassis ground
Ground circuit (Open): Resistance Approx. below 1Ω
  1. Ignition: OFF
  2. Select actuator connector: Disconnected
Select solenoid 1 ground terminal Chassis ground
Shield ground circuit (Open): Resistance Approx. below 1Ω
  1. Ignition: OFF
  2. Select actuator connector: Disconnected
Select solenoid 1 shield ground terminal Chassis ground
  1. Is the result within specifications?

    YES 

    • This can be an intermittent fault caused by poor contact in the sensor's and/or control module's connector. Or, control module's memory was not cleared after repair. Thoroughly check connectors for looseness, poor connection, ending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage.
    • Replace the select actuator with an usable one and check for proper operation. If it works properly, put the component in place. Then, go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR ".
