Repair Procedures: Replacement

CAUTION: Put on gloves to protect your hands.

Information 

  1. Using a remover, remove the console garnish (A).

  2. Remove the glove box mounting hole cap (A).

  3. Using a remover, remove the crash pad side cover [RH] (A).

  4. Remove the crash pad garnish [LH] (A).

  5. Pull out the stopper (B) from the glove box (A).

  6. Remove the air damper (A) from the glove box (B).

  7. Remove the pins (A) and then remove the glove box (B).

  8. Pull the lever (A). Key must be always in unlock position, otherwise it will not be possible to remove the lock.

  9. Press the tooth (A) on the lock by pushing it from above with appropriate tool.

  10. With the recommended tool, push the tooth of the lock, so that the lock can be released from it's position, by pulling the key.

    Information 

    It might be needed to move with the key slightly from right to left to release the lock as shown on the picture by arrow.

  11. Remove the crash pad under cover [RH] (A).

  12. Separate the glove box housing (A) after loosening the mounting screws and bolts & nuts.

  13. Disconnect the glove box lamp connector (A) and glove box housing (B).

  14. Install in the reverse order of removal.

    Information 

    • Make sure that the connectors are connected in properly.
    • Replace any damaged clips.
