Component Inspection

  1. Refer to "appropriate service information" and remove necessary parts to get access to ECM, TCM, PCM and other control units that connected to CCP-CAN Communication circuit.
  2. Connect KDS to Data Link Connector (DLC).
  3. Ignition "ON".
  4. Disconnect unit connector one after the other.
  5. Check for control unit causing the fault by communicating ECM, TCM, PCM and others with KDS.
  6. Does KDS able to communicate with any of systems when one unit connector is disconnected?

    YES 

    • Carefully re-do this troubleshooting guide steps.
    • If problem still occurs, replace Control Unit or TGS sensor that causing the fault and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.

    NO 

    • Fault might be intermittent and caused either by poor contact in connectors or wiring harness, or it has been repaired and control module memory is not cleared yet. Thoroughly check terminal of battery, all connectors (and connections) for looseness, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, and/or damage.
    • Repair or replace as necessary and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
