Repair Procedures: Inspection

- Turn the ignition switch OFF, and then remove battery (-) terminal.
- Remove the fuel pump assembly.
(Refer to Fuel Pump- "REMOVAL ")
- Using an ohmmeter, measure the resistance between terminals 1 and 6 of sender connector (A) at each float level.
Pin No. Description 1 Fuel sender ground (-) 2 Fuel pressure sensor (FPS) signal input 3 CAN [High] 4 Fuel pressure sensor (FPS) power supply (+5V) 5 Fuel pressure sensor (FPS) ground (-) 6 Fuel sender signal input (+) 7 - 8 CAN [Low] 9 Ground 10 Battery power (B+) - Also check that the resistance changes smoothly when the float is moved from "E" to "F".
