Removal And Installation

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
  1. Disconnect the battery negative terminal.
  2. Remove the engine room under cover.

    (Refer to Engine and Transaxle Assembly - "ENGINE ROOM UNDER COVER ")

  3. Drain the engine coolant.

    (Refer to Cooling System - "COOLANT ")

  4. Remove the air cleaner.

    (Refer to Intake and Exhaust System - "AIR CLEANER ")

  5. Disconnect the cooling fan controller (PWM) connector (A).

  6. Remove the radiator lower hose clip mounting bolt (A).

    Tightening Torque: 

    5.9 - 8.3 N.m (0.6 - 0.8 kgf.m, 4.4 - 6.1 lb.ft)

  7. Disconnect the radiator upper hose (A) and the lower hose (B).

  8. Disconnect the reservoir hose (A).

  9. Remove the front bumper cover.

    (Refer to Body (Interior and Exterior) - "FRONT BUMPER COVER ")

  10. Disconnect the hood switch connector (A) and the horn connector (B).
  11. Detach the air guide RH (C).

    Tightening Torque: 

    7.8 - 11.8 N.m (0.8 - 1.2 kgf.m, 5.7 - 8.6 lb.ft)

  12. Remove the air guide LH (A).

    Tightening Torque: 

    7.8 - 11.8 N.m (0.8 - 1.2 kgf.m, 5.7 - 8.6 lb.ft)

  13. Disconnect the hood latch cable (A).

  14. Remove the radiator upper member bracket (A).

    Tightening Torque: 

    21.6 - 26.5 N.m (2.2 - 2.7 kgf.m, 15.9 - 19.5 lb.ft)

  15. Remove the air guide RH (A).

  16. Pull the radiator (A) upward and remove it from the engine room.

  17. Remove the cooling fan (A) from the radiator (B).

  18. Install in the reverse order of removal.
  19. Fill the radiator with coolant.

    (Refer to Cooling System - "COOLANT ")

  20. Start engine and check for leaks.
