Repair Procedures: Replacement

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
  1. Disconnect the battery negative terminal.
  2. Loosen the drain plug and drain the engine coolant.

    (Refer to Cooling System - "COOLANT ")

  3. Remove the air cleaner.

    (Refer to Intake and Exhaust System - "AIR CLEANER ")

  4. Remove the intercooler inlet pipe & hose assembly, and the intercooler outlet pipe & hose assembly.

    (Refer to Intake and Exhaust System - "INTERCOOLER ")

  5. Remove the radiator upper (A) hose and lower hose (B).

  6. Disconnect the connectors and then remove the wiring protector (A).

  7. Disconnect the E.T.C cooler hoses (A), and the oil cooler hoses (B).

  8. Remove the water temperature control assembly (A).

    Tightening torque: 

    Nut: 18.6 - 23.5 N.m (1.9 - 2.4 kgf.m, 13.7 - 17.4 lb.ft)

    Bolt: 14.7 - 19.6 N.m (1.5 - 2.0 kgf.m, 10.8 - 14.5 lb.ft)

  9. Install in the reverse order of removal.
