Repair Procedures: Removal

- Turn ignition switch OFF and disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.
- Remove the alternator "B" terminal tightening nut.
- Disconnect the alternator "B" cable from the alternator "B" terminal.
Alternator "B" terminal tightening nut:
9.8 - 11.8 N.m (1.0 - 1.2 kgf.m, 7.2 - 8.7 lb.ft)
- Disconnect the alternator connector and alternator harness fixing pin.
- Remove the cooling fan.
(Refer to Engine Mechanical System - "COOLING FAN ")
- For release the tension, turn the drive belt tensioner (A) counterclockwise then remove the drive belt (B).
- Remove the alternator mounting bolts (A).
Alternator mounting bolt:
49.0 - 63.7 N.m (5.0 - 6.5 kgf.m, 36.2 - 47.0 lb.ft)
- Remove the alternator (A).
