Repair Procedures: Removal

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
  1. Turn the ignition switch OFF and disconnect the battery negative (-) terminal.
  2. Remove the air cleaner.

    (Refer to "AIR CLEANER ")

  3. Remove the battery.

    (Refer to "BATTERY ")

  4. Disconnect the crankshaft position sensor connector (A).

  5. Lift the vehicle.
  6. Remove the engine room under cover.

    (Refer to "ENGINE ROOM UNDER COVER ")

  7. Remove the protector (B) after loosening the mounting bolts (A).

    Crankshaft Position Sensor Protector Mounting Bolt (M6): 

    9.8 - 11.8 N.m (1.0 - 1.2 kgf.m, 7.2 - 8.7 lb.ft)

  8. Remove the crankshaft position sensor (B) after loosening the mounting bolt (A).

    Crankshaft Position Sensor Mounting Bolt: 

    9.8 - 11.8 N.m (1.0 - 1.2 kgf.m, 7.2 - 8.7 lb.ft)
