Repair Procedures: Replacement
CAUTION:
Put on gloves to protect your hands.
Information
- When prying with a flat-tip screwdriver, wrap it with protective tape, and apply protective tape around the related parts, to prevent damage.
- Use a plastic panel removal tool to remove interior trim pieces without marring the surface.
- Take care not to bend or scratch the trim and panels.
- Remove the floor console assembly.

- Remove the crash pad lower panel.

- Remove the glove box housing.

- Remove the cluster fascia panel.

- Remove the heater & A/C control unit.

- Remove the crash pad main lower panel.
(Refer to Crash Pad - "CRASH PAD MAIN LOWER PANEL ")
- Remove the steering wheel.

- Remove the steering column shroud lower panel.
(Refer to Crash Pad - "STEERING COLUMN SHROUD PANEL ")
- Using a screwdriver or remover and remove the center speaker grill (A).
- Disconnect the photo sensor connector (A) and auto light sensor connector (B).
- Loosen the screw and remove the crash pad top cover (A).
- Loosen the mounting bolts (A), disconnect the connector (B), and then remove the passenger airbag (C).
- Loosen the mounting bolts and nuts and remove the main crash pad assembly (A).
- Install in the reverse order of removal.
Information
- Make sure the crash pad fits onto the guide pins correctly.
- Before tightening the bolts, make sure the crash pad wire harnesses are not pinched.
- Make sure the connectors are plugged in properly, and the antenna lead is connected properly.
- Enter the anti-theft code for the radio, then enter the customer's radio station presets.
