Squib Circuit Inspection

  1. Ignition "OFF".
  2. Disconnect the battery (-) cable and wait at least for one minute.
  3. Remove the Side airbag front-Passenger module and connect the dummy and dummy adapter to Side airbag front-Passenger harness connector.
    NOTE: If dummy and dummy adaptor are not able to be prepared, use a known-good Side airbag front-Passenger or 2Ω resistor.
  4. Connect (-) terminal cable to battery and Ignition "ON" and wait for 30 seconds or more.
  5. Connect KDS to Data Link Connector (DLC) and clear DTC with KDS and diagnose again.
  6. Are any DTCs stored in the system?

    YES 

    NO 

    • Carefully re-do this troubleshooting guide steps.
    • If problem still occurs, replace Side airbag front-Passenger module and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
