Main Circuit Inspection

  1. Ignition "OFF"
  2. Disconnect the battery (-) cable and wait at least for one minute.
  3. Disconnect Driver Side airbag connector and SRSCM main harness connector.
  4. Measure resistance between Pin No. 1 (High) terminal of the Side Airbag Front-Driver harness connector and chassis ground.
  5. Measure resistance between Pin No. 2 (Low) terminal of the Side Airbag Front-Driver harness connector and chassis ground.

    Specification:  ∞ (Infinite)Ω

  6. Are the measured value within specification?

    YES 

    • Carefully re-do this troubleshooting guide steps.
    • If problem still occurs, replace SRSCM and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
      NOTE: Do not handle or strike the SRCM with the ignition "ON". The seat belt Pretensioner, curtain airbag or side airbag could be caused serious injury. Please handle with care.

    NO 

    • Thoroughly check all connectors (and connections) for looseness, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, and/or damage.
    • Carefully re-do this troubleshooting guide steps.
    • If problem still occurs, replace SRSCM main harness and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
