CAN Communication Line Inspection

  1. Ignition switch "OFF"
  2. Disconnect battery (-) cable.
  3. Refer to "ABS CONTROL UNIT and INDICATORS AND GAUGES (EXCEPT HEV) " and disconnect HECU and Instrument cluster connector.
  4. Measure the resistance between Pin No. 44 (C-CAN High) terminal of HECU harness connector and Pin No. 32 (C-CAN High) terminal of instrument cluster harness connector.
  5. Measure the resistance between Pin No. 45 (C-CAN Low) terminal of HECU harness connector and Pin No. 33 (C-CAN Low) terminal of instrument cluster harness connector.

    Specification:  Approx. below 1 Ω

  6. Is the measured value within specification?

    YES 

    NO
