Disconnect the electrical connector(s) from the concerned component. Ignition "ON".	Input speed sensor connector	4 (power)	Chassis ground	-	Approx. 8.8 V
Disconnect the electrical connector(s) from the concerned component. Ignition "ON".	Input speed sensor connector	5 (signal)	Chassis ground	-	Approx. 0 V
Ignition "OFF". Disconnect battery (-) cable. Disconnect the electrical connector(s) from the concerned component.	Input speed sensor connector	5 (signal)	Input speed sensor connector	1 (power)/4 (power)	∞ (infinity)Ω
Ignition "OFF". Disconnect battery (-) cable. Disconnect the electrical connector(s) from the concerned component.	Input speed sensor connector	5 (signal)	Chassis ground	-	∞ (infinity)Ω

Good

Repair short to power in signal circuit between input speed sensor and then go to "VERIFICATION OF REPAIR " procedure.
If problem still occurs, go to "COMPONENT INSPECTION " procedure.

No Good

Repair as necessary and then go to "VERIFICATION OF REPAIR " procedure.
