DTC Information: DTC Detecting Condition

DTC DETECTING CONDITIONS AND POSSIBLE CAUSES

Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
DTC Strategy
  • Operation Duration and Current Monitoring
  1. Open in Motor control circuit
  2. Short to ground in Motor control circuit
  3. Short to battery in Motor control circuit
  4. Excessive parking brake shoe gap
  5. Excessive wear parking brake shoe
Threshold Value
  • Motor supply current over 30A for more than 50 msec
  • Detect open/short ground/short battery in Motor control circuit for more than 0.5 sec
Fail Safe
  • EPB operation inhibited
Warning Indicator Lamp Status
  • Warning Indicator Lamp "ON"
Clear Condition
  • Ignition "OFF" and then "ON"
