Monitor GDS Data

  1. Connect GDS to Data Link Connector (DLC).
  2. Ignition "ON".
  3. Monitor "Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC)  " with GDS.

  4. Is DTC status displayed as Present?

    YES 

    NO 

    • Fault is intermittent caused by poor contact in the EPB ECU's connector or was repaired and EPB ECU memory was not cleared. Thoroughly check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage. Repair or replace as necessary and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.


  1. Connect GDS to Data Link Connector (DLC).
  2. Engine "ON"
  3. Turn on EPB Switch.
  4. Monitor "Current (RH) - Cable" parameter on "Current Data" with GDS.

    Specification  : Refer to Fig 1 below.

  5. Is parameter displayed within specification?

    YES 

    • Fault is intermittent caused by poor contact in the EPB ECU's connector or was repaired and EPB ECU memory was not cleared. Thoroughly check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage. Repair or replace as necessary and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.

    NO
