DTC Information: DTC Detecting Condition

If invalid wheel signal is received for more than 200 msec, EPB ECU sets DTC C164208.



DTC DETECTING CONDITIONS AND POSSIBLE CAUSES

Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
DTC Strategy
  • CAN Message Monitoring
  1. Defected CAN Communication Circuit
  2. Defected HECU
Threshold Value
  • Invalid wheel signal (both FL and RR or both FR and RL or both FL and FR or both RL and RR) is received for more than 1.5 sec.
  • The fault is not checked for 2 sec after ignition "ON"
Fail Safe
  • KOA/Dynamic Braking (ESC) inhibited
Warning Indicator Lamp Status
  • Warning Indicator Lamp "ON"
Clear Condition
  • Ignition "OFF" and then "ON"
