DTC Description

ABS/ESC (ESP) (Brake Signal, Vehicle Speed, etc) CAN message is not received for over 1 sec, EPB ECU sets DTC C162508.

DTC DETECTING CONDITIONS AND POSSIBLE CAUSES

Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
DTC Strategy
  • CAN message monitoring
  1. CAN Communication Circuit Open
  2. Defected HECU
Threshold Value
  • ABS/ESC (ESP) (Brake Signal, Vehicle Speed, etc) message is not received for more than 1 sec within normal voltage condition.
  • The fault is not checked for 2 sec after ignition "ON"
  • The fault is not checked if CAN BUS OFF is present.
Fail Safe
  • DAR/KOA/Dynamic Braking (ESC) inhibited
Warning Indicator Lamp Status
  • Warning Indicator Lamp "ON"
Clear Condition
  • Ignition "OFF" and then "ON"
