CAN Resistor Inspection

  1. Ignition switch "OFF"
  2. Disconnect battery (-) cable.
  3. Refer to "INDICATORS AND GAUGES and RELAY BOX (PASSENGER COMPARTMENT) " and disconnect Instrument cluster and IGPM connector.
  4. Measure the resistance between Pin No. 15 (C-CAN High) and Pin No. 16 (C-CAN Low) terminal of IGPM.
  5. Measure the resistance between Pin No. 32 (C-CAN High) and Pin No. 33 (C-CAN Low) terminal of Cluster.

    Specification:  Approx. 120 Ω

  6. Is the measured value within specification?

    YES 

    NO 

    • Carefully re-do this troubleshooting guide steps.
    • If no problems were found with the circuits or connectors, replace IGPM or Instrument Cluster and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
