DTC Information: DTC Detecting Condition

DTC DETECTING CONDITIONS AND POSSIBLE CAUSES

Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
DTC Strategy
  • CAN message monitoring
  1. Shorted CAN Communication Circuit
  2. Defected EPB ECU
Threshold Value
  • CAN Bus OFF occurs for the first time, CAN Communication is initialized and has recovery time of 0.5 sec within normal battery voltage1)
  • condition occurs for over 10 times, fault is detected.
  • The fault is not checked if CAN BUS OFF is present.
Fail Safe
  • DAR/KOA/Dynamic Braking (ESC) inhibited
Warning Indicator Lamp Status
  • Warning Indicator Lamp "ON"
Clear Condition
  • Ignition "OFF" and then "ON"
