DTC Information: DTC Detecting Condition

DTC DETECTING CONDITIONS AND POSSIBLE CAUSES

Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
DTC Strategy
  • Internal Monitoring
  1. Defected Internal EPB ECU
Threshold Value ECU Hardware (Case1)
  • If MCU can't erase or write a data of the EEPROM
  • If the master/slave MCU detects abnormal operation in RAM, ROM, Interrupt, Timer, A/D converter and Cycle time
Current Sensor Open, Short to GND/BAT (Case2)
  • Current sensor voltage is either higher than 4.8V or lower than 0.2V for more than 200 msec.
Current Sensor Offset Abnormal (Case 3)
  • Current value is 2A for more than 200 msec after 5 seconds upon complete control
CAN Hardware (Case 4)
  • CAN Hardware Failure
Fail Safe
  • EPB operation inhibited
Warning Indicator Lamp Status
  • Warning Indicator Lamp "ON"
Clear Condition
  • Ignition "OFF" and then "ON"
